You are going to see patients with a variety of medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, CKD, CAD, HF or COPD (or a combination of these) and you feel unsure on what to do, which drugs you should be prescribing and how? This course will enable you to understand, deal with and appropriately manage the most common clinical situations and prescribe or modify treatment as needed. AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES 1. To know the conditions most frequently encountered in clinical practice, the pathophysiological basis of their treatment 2. To apply pharmacological knowledge to real life clinical conditions in the setting of multi morbidities. The test can also be taken by Remote Web desktop connection should it be deemed necessary by the University of Genoa. ASSESSMENT METHODS Student must stand a final examination which is related to the entire I.C., and includes all the disciplines - to verify the achievement of required learning outcomes. The final mark is expressed in fractions of 30.To pass final exam students have to answer correctly at least enough questions to totalize18 points. Multiple choice questions will be based on all the topics of the course and will be designed to test the level of knowledge and ability of in-depth clinical analysis and skills developed by the student.
