The course explores the rules and practises of the general law of the enterprise, intellectual property and corporate law.
This course is dedicated to business law, intellectual property and corporate law. The first part provides the legal framework of business enterprises and focuses on the main issues concerning the formation, the transfer of ownership and fiduciary obligations. The second part provides a functional analysis of intellectual and industrial property law and focuses on the various aspects of trademarks, copyright and patents. The third part pays attention to the legal and institutional framework of corporate law.
The purpose of the course is to provide a deep understanding about the mechanics of business law and corporate law. The aim of the course is also to help the students to develop further capabilities such as group work, legal writing and legal reasoning.
No prerequisites are requested for the course.
Classes are mostly taught through a interactive method and require an active participation of the class. Invidual participation is favoured. Attendance is not mandatory but highly suggested. Teaching language is Italian.
There are not teaching materials to be provided beyond the textbook. Class notes may integrate but not substitute full knowledge of the latter.

The students will be evaluated upon the following: (i) knowledge of specific legal rules, (ii) legal reasoning and comprehension of the fundamentals of the topics, (iii) ability to apply legal rules and legal reasoning to practical cases.
