The course, divided into two sections (only the first of which is intended for students who take the course for 6 credits), deepens the study of Italian literature of the second half of the last century, taking into account the location of authors and texts both in the horizon of literary publishing and in that of cultural information in the space of the daily and periodical press.
Aim of the course is the critical and philological study of texts, authors and genres of contemporary Italian literature in relation to the historical and editorial context in which they are located.
The course aims to achieve the following educational objectives: 1) consolidation of the knowledge of Italian literary history with particular reference to the second half of the 20th century; 2) ability to analyze the interaction that is established between the literary text and the socio-cultural reality of his time. At the end of the course the student is expected to have achieved the following results: 1) a more mature knowledge of contemporary Italian literature of the 1970s and 1980s; 2) a sure ability to understand the interaction between literary text and socio-political context.
Essential prerequisites for teaching are a sure knowledge of contemporary Italian literature and a capacity for expression appropriate to the subject, with mastery of an appropriate vocabulary.
The teaching consists of lectures, with pc and projector, for a total of 60 hours

CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE
Oral exam in the form of an interview with questions related to all the in-depth monographs
Expected knowledge and skills will be verified through an oral exam. The preparation will be considered adequate if the student demonstrates the ability to exhibit using a relevant terminology, will show that he understood the issues addressed during the lessons, will be able to independently apply the critical reflection on the proposed works, revealing that he was able to develop in a personal way the teaching content.
