In order to be admitted to the oral test, students have to present and discuss two practical assignement described during the semester. Students are requested to get in contact with the teacher in order to agree on a meeting for the discussion, to be held one week in advance with respect to the oral exam. ASSESSMENT METHODS Oral test: two open questions about topics developed and discussed in classroom during the semester. Questions are aimed to assess the capability of the students to discuss about theorethical and practical aspects of ship hydrostatics and stability. Specific attention will be given to the capability of indicating the basic assuptions together with the input data, the target of the procedure and its rational developement. During the (previous) conversation about the assignements, the students will be requested to give evidence of capability to apply in practice the theorethical methodologies with the proper critical attitude toward results.
