OVERVIEW

The course focuses on knowledge and tools to support undergraduates in the transition from university to the work environment.

AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aim of the course is to promote adequate knowledge of those tools which, combined with the disciplinary contents of the profession, allow the definition of strategies useful for an appropriate entry into the working context.

Upon completion of the training, students will be able to:

- recognize the main elements useful for organizing the job search

- prepare a resume

- identify the main aspects useful for sustaining a job interview

- recognise one's own abilities in relation to job search paths
- reflect critically on one's own positioning with respect to the process of entering the world of work.

TEACHING METHODS

The Course will consist of lectures and individual and group practical exercises (e.g. think pare share, role playing).


Students with a certified DSA, disability or other special educational needs are advised to contact the lecturer at the beginning of the Course in order to agree on teaching and examination methods that, while respecting the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The Course's contents will be the following:

- The job market: required skills and professional values

- The main paths to access the job position

- Job search tools: the CV and the job interview

- Web reputation

 

The Course contributes to the achievement of Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda

Evaluation takes place through a written test

ASSESSMENT METHODS

At the end of the Course, in order to achieve the eligibility, the students must present a written paper that focuses on knowledge acquired by lessons.
