AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Aim of this course is to give to the student basic principles concerning drug design and synthesis, with particular reference to innovative methodologies. The student is expected to be able to select and apply different drug design strategies and different synthetic strategies depending on the problem to be solved. PREREQUISITES A good knowledge of organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry is required. TEACHING METHODS Slides and individual use of non commercial data-bases and specific visualization softwares. RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY A number of recommended papers available in literature will be suggested to students.
