OVERVIEW
This teaching unit deals with the territorial project with the tools and methods of two disciplines, Urban Planning and Estimate, which collaborate in the analysis, in the definition of scenarios and intervention strategies, in the elaboration and evaluation of proposals. The application to a case study of exemplary value aims to simulate a real design process that identifies opportunities and resources for a new development through the interpretation of the context.
AIMS AND CONTENT
PREREQUISITES
Requirements:
• command in the use of software for graphic and cartographic processing (eg: AutoCAD and Photoshop), for data management (Excel), for the compilation of texts (Word),
• knowledge of the theoretical bases of urban planning and basic notions of urban planning tools (territorial and urban planning, sector planning),
• knowledge of the theoretical and operational tools for estimating the costs of interventions at the building and urban scale and of market values,
• basic ability to represent a project proposal and present it with the use of appropriate software (eg: PPoint).
The ability to use GIS is advantageous.

EXAMS
EXAM DESCRIPTION
The exam takes place in oral form and is unique for the two modules of the course. The evaluation, expressed in thirtieths, is established by consensus by the teachers.
The exam consists of the presentation of a case study that will give rise to a discussion and in-depth questions. The discussion will focus on the theoretical assumptions and the results obtained in the work; the questions may concern the working method followed, the analysis and methods of investigation, the criteria for choosing the project hypotheses, the motivations and the degree of feasibility of the proposals put forward.
To access the exam, the student must have delivered the intermediate exercises and participated in the presentations of the partial results of the work during the semester. Students who do not have the opportunity to attend are required to intermediate checks (in presence or remotely) to be agreed with the teachers.
