OVERVIEW
The subject of the module is the evaluation as a tool to support complex decision-making processes and urban and territorial transformations. The module will develop the theme of the feasibility of urban transformation both from the economic, social and environmental point of view, with particular reference to a municipal planning process.

Supplies the theoretical and operational tools for assessing the feasibility of urban and territorial transformation interventions.
AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
The objective of the module is to provide the theoretical knowledge and operational tools to be able to address and resolve the evaluation questions relating to the evaluation of the sustainability of projects at different scales.
At the end of the course the student will be able to evaluate the impacts of the project proposals in economic terms through the application of monetary and non-monetary evaluation methodologies.
TEACHING METHODS
The module's educational path is developed according to three levels:
"frontal" classroom lessons on evaluation methodologies;
thematic insights through the consultation of materials made available by the teacher on the Urban Planning & Feasibility 2023-2024 Team;
classroom exercises on the application of evaluation methodologies.
SYLLABUS/CONTENT
In the first part of the module, monetary and non-monetary analysis and evaluation methodologies and some case studies will be introduced.
Taking as reference the analysis themes of the assigned study territory (quality of public space, quality of living, accessibility and usability of public and private services), in the next phase, possible scenarios will therefore be defined, in an integrated manner with the urban planning module. intervention projects and evaluated the economic effects both in terms of costs and benefits.
The evaluation application will be carried out for groups of students.
The results of the analyzes and evaluations will be reported (also in summary form) in the project tables and in the A3 album attached to the project tables.
