The Final Dissertation consists in the discussion in English language of an activity carried out by the student under the guidance of one or more supervisors and the control of an examiner. The student should rely on the knowledge and the skills acquired during the course of study in providing a suitable solution to an assigned issue.
Being able to carry out autonomously a conspicuous project which could be of theoretical, computational, or experimental flavour. Being able to clearly describe the project and the obtained results in a written document.
UNDERSTAND a given set of, usually complex, requirements, related to a theoretical, computational, or experimental issue
UNDERSTAND and ANALYZE different options for solving the proposed issue, also revising existing works on the considered topic
APPLY the knowledge and the skills acquired during the course of study in providing a solution to the proposed issue
EVALUATE the proposed approach with respect to other existing ones
PRODUCE a clear and effective document in English describing the carried out activities and the obtained results
COMMUNICATE the considered problem and the proposed solution in a clear and effective way
Oral examination
Most learning outcomes are assessed through scheduled meetings.
The ability to make accessible the obtained results is assessed through scheduled meetings, the reading of the documentation and the final oral examination.
