Integrated teaching is divided into four modules: General Pathology, General Pathology and Veterinary Pathophysiology, Infectious Diseases and Elements of Toxicology.
General Pathology studies the causes of human diseases, the body's defense response to damage agents and tumors.
General Pathology and Veterinary Physiopathology studies the causes of diseases in animals and changes in the functioning of the systems during the disease.
Infectious Diseases provides basic knowledge on major human infectious diseases.
Elements of Toxicology provides the general concepts of drug / toxic-kinetics and drug/toxic-dynamics of drugs and xenobiotic compounds present in the workplace.
Acquire knowledge on the origin and pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative and neoplastic processes responsible for human pathologies. Know the most common infectious diseases in humans, the methods of transmission and prevention. Know the toxic effects of drugs (classification and types of toxicity). Know the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative and neoplastic processes responsible for diseases in animals.
Per affrontare efficacemente i contenuti dell’insegnamento sono necessarie le seguenti conoscenze di base: nozioni di anatomia e istologia, fisiologia e biochimica.

The exam consists of an oral test and takes place, when possible, in the presence of all teachers of integrated teaching. There will be 2 sessions for the winter session and 5 sessions for the summer/autumn session. In medical emergency conditions, exams can be carried out remotely electronically using the Teams platform.
The oral exam will allow to verify the achievement of the expected learning outcomes by evaluating the ability to expose the skills acquired on the basis of the scheme that has been inserted in the program for each topic covered.
At the end of the oral test, the teachers of the commission formulate a final grade which derives from the weighted average of the partial grades and the overall assessment of the candidate.
