The course adopts a ‘Content & Language Integrated Learning’ (CLIL) approach that focuses on the principal topics covered in the degree course.
The course's principal objective is to raise students' awareness of the importance of increasing their communication skills in English by not only using sector-specific content but crucially by exploiting the knowledge and competences acquired during their degree courses, i.e. focusing on what they know rather than what they do not.
The course aims to increase students’ communicative competence and knowledge in these specific topic areas:
In detail this means: Corporate culture & ethics; Human resource managment; Competitive advantage; Managing customer relations; Leadership.
The course aim to:
-improve receptive and productive skills in English as a second language at and beyond B2 level;
-provide students with the tools necessary to understand propositional and topic structure and organization in management-related texts;
-prepare students also for internationally recognized English language certifications at B2 & C1 level CEFR;
-become confident with using English in a range of settings.
The minimum level of competence in English as a second or non-native language is B2.1 (CEFR).
Face-to-face lessons based on sector-specific syllabus content with a variety of group and individual task responses.
Teaching resources covering the main topic areas of the post-graduate degree course, i.e. Corporate culture & ethics; Human resource managment; Competitive advantage; Managing customer relations; Leadership.

students enrolled in the LM Management course in the year 2021/22 can take the test of the previous course 'English language B2 for Management 3 CFU 109158'. Exemption is available by providing valid external certification; - students enrolled in the 2022/23 year who are now starting the second year must take the new teaching 'Mod. 2 human resources - language skills - English language B2 for Management – 6 CFU 109158'. It is not possible to be exempt from the course by presenting external certification;
