EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

oral exam

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The examination will take place in oral form; students are required to present a short critical review of an artwork,  accompanied by images, notes and specific bibliographical indications,

N.B. The written paper constitutes an integral part of the examination and of the student's assessment: the motivations underlying the choice of topic, the ability to organise the discourse, the originality of the treatment and critical points, the quality of the sources used and the bibliographical references, the correctness and clarity of the presentation will all be taken into account.

The minimum threshold of knowledge for passing the examination consists in knowing how to orient oneself in the chronology of contemporary art history, expressing oneself with correct and adequate language. At a higher level is the student who supplements this minimum preparation with a deeper and broader mastery of the topics covered in the course. Excellence is achieved by developing, on the basis of the above, relevant critical connections and additions resulting from personal research or reasoning.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Students are required to send the written review via email to paola.valenti@unige.it and daniele.panucci@edu.unige.it at least one week before the exam.

All students (including non-attending students) are invited to subscribe to Aulaweb in order to be constantly informed about course activities.
