AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims at providing the students with the basic knowledge on the theoretical models and strategies of economic policy. Special attention will be dedicated to the analysis of macroeconoic and public finance topics in the current phase of evolution of the national and international economic context and to the implications of economic policies for the decisions of the firms. Knowledge and comprehension. The students will acquire suitable knowledge and comprehension of the foundations of Economic Policy. Ability to apply knowledge and comprehension. The students will be able to appy the knowledge acquired from markets analyses to the behaviour of economic operators and poicy makers. Autonomy The students will be able, both on the theoretical and operational level to apply their acquired knowledge with autonomy in their valuation and business implications. Communication skills The students will acquire the technical terminology of the discipline and will be able to communicate clearly and without ambiguities both with skilled and not skilled people. Learning abilities The students will develop kearning abilities allowing them to keep on studying autonomously the relevant economic literature and actively applying them in their professional life. Ability to properly communicate in written and oral form, ability to adapt communication to the context, use of sources and tools of various nature, critical thinking, ability to use, develop and value information, ability to expose. PREREQUISITES Microeconomics and Macroeconomics TEACHING METHODS Lessons by the teacher. The sessons may include additional seminars on specific topics. Debates during lessons where "bonus" point can be attributed, in order for the students to acquire the following learning outcome: Ability to properly communicate in written and oral form, ability to adapt communication to the context, use of sources and tools of various nature, critical thinking, ability to use, develop and value information, ability to expose.
