OVERVIEW

The module aims to provide and strengthen:

  • the main principles of re-habilitation in the developmental age in the neuro-psycho-motor context  to build a solid knowledge to approach  the child and his family
  • the skills to operate in the context of a multi-professional  re-habilitation"team".

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Provide  basic knowledge on rehabilitation  in International Classification of Functioning conceptual frame:

  • Acquisition of  knowledge in child’s  common impairments and disability
  • Acquisition of the ability to set up a child’s psychomotor evaluation and intervention
  • Acquisition of basic skills to work in the  rehabilitation multi-professional team

COURSE MAIN OBJECTIVES

  • To understand how rehabilitation fits in  ICF conceptual frame
  • To recognize how psychomotor approach in rehabilitation is consistent with new and EBM neuro-scientific acquisitions
  • To know  the meaning of main impairments and activity limitations on child and young functioning
  • To know the  principles underlying  standardized assessment rehabilitation tools and critically evaluates their areas of application
  • To apply and evaluate the psychomotor approach to impairments and limitations within the individual rehabilitation project in synergy with other rehabilitative contributions

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Interview or written questions that will address at least two topics of the program. The score will be awarded in thirtieths.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The examination will check:

 

  • The understanding and  use of information and concepts of teaching lectures, and exercises.
  • The ability to use information and knowledge to develop concepts and solve problems  in the professional field
  • The ability to collect observations and data and interpret and transmit them with and without supervision.
