Enhancing the game and therapeutic education as essential elements to enter into a relationship with the child AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The teaching aims to: - provide students with the basic notions of nursing care and the therapeutic relationship to the child and his family, - provide students with a general knowledge of the interaction of the child and the family with the disease and its possible manifestations of fear, anxiety, pain and stress - introduce the concepts of child’s rights - introduce the theme of the game - to acquire the knowledge and the fundamental principles of hand hygiene. LEARNING RESULTS At the end of the teaching / learning period the students must recognize the general principles that characterize: - nursing care and the therapeutic relationship - the manifestation of fear, pain, anxiety and stress, - evaluate the interaction of the child and the family with the disease - know the child’s rights - know the importance of the game - know, describe the correct hand hygiene TEACHING METHODS Frontal lessons, group work elaborations, guided discussion.
