LEARNING, E-LEARNING AND LONG LIFE LEARNING IN REHABILITATION

 

Rehabilitation Teams have to put new knowledge to provide quality and effective assistance to meet the needs of patients, the needs of the healthcare service and their professional development. In Rehabilitation, both basic and ongoing training is important for the acquisition of new knowledge, skills and attitudes useful to competent and experienced practice.

AIMS AND CONTENT

Learn the most recent methodologies in order to plan the various rehabilitation cycles, based on the best evidence of the effectiveness of rehabilitation treatments. Being able to critically evaluate published studies related to clinical rehabilitation, management of processes and human resources, demonstrating that they have the ability to apply to professional choices. Being able to design, adapt and implement clinical research projects. Know the psychological approaches to rehabilitation issues. Knowing the rules and methods of continuous training and distance learning..

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course DIDACTICS, E-LEARNING AND CONTINUOUS EDUCATION IN REHABILITATION contributes to meeting the need for skills in frontal and distance teaching of the master's degree professional in rehabilitation, also in view of potential university teaching assignments or in the continuing education system. The course aims to develop the theoretical knowledge and skills necessary to effectively plan and conduct a lesson, both in face-to-face mode and through distance learning tools.

At the end of the course the student must demonstrate that he is able to:

- Apply the concepts of Relevance, Relatedness, Task-value to the teaching

- Conduct a lesson effectively

- Apply the basic notions of Public Speech

- Build a presentation effectively

- Know the definition of E-Learning, the advantages and disadvantages

-  Build effective E-learning lessons

TEACHING METHODS

The teaching, organized in 8 hours, is carried out with lectures, exercises in small groups and guided discussions.

Students with SLD, disability or other special educational needs certification are strongly encouraged to contact the teachers at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching methods which, respecting the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory instruments.

- The concepts of Relevance, Relatedness, Task-value applied to teaching

- The techniques of effective lesson management

- The basic notions of Public-Speech

- Elements of designing and building a presentation

- E-Learning, definition, advantages and disadvantages

- The construction of E-learning lessons

- Discussion of lessons designed and presented in small groups by the students

 

RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY

The teacher will provide slides and handouts relating to the lessons to support the preparation of the exam. Further in-depth materials may be recommended during the lessons, which can be freely downloadable from the web.

The exam is oral or oral / written; it will be mainly aimed at evaluating an appropriate knowledge of the topics covered in the module.
