OVERVIEW

The course includes learning the basic knowledge of tutorship methodologies

AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the student should be able to interpret the characteristics of the tutorship;

describe the competences of the pedagogical/didactic tutor and the clinical tutor /in the professional field;

categorize the characteristics of some teaching tutorial methodologies :

• Problem Based Learning and Team Based Learning:

• tutorship in the professional/workplace environment.

TEACHING METHODS

Interactive lessons with group analysis

Classroom testing of Problem Based Learning and Team Based Learning sessions.

Role playing.

Students with DSA, disability or other special educational needs are warmly invited to contact the teachers at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching methods that, in compliance with the teaching objectives, take account of individual learning arrangements and provide appropriate compensatory tools.

Exam dates will be published in Aulaweb.

The exams of the integrated courses take place in the university of Genoa in a single moment and the Examination Commissions, chaired by the Coordinators of the integrated courses or by their delegates, must be composed in accordance with art.29 c.5 and c.6 of the University Teaching Regulations.

As per the Teaching Regulations of the Course of Study, The examinations of profit can be carried out exclusively in the periods dedicated to it and called exam sessions. The moments of verification cannot normally coincide with the periods during which the training activities take place.

 

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The tutor as a learning facilitator.

The tutor and the group in the classroom.

Problem Based Learning is problem-based learning in small groups led by tutors.

The Team Based Learning.

The tutor and the individual student in the workplace: the training contract and the formative evaluation

The feedback.

Evaluation and commentary of a written paper

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Verification of the achievement of both theoretical and application and communicative skills through written and oral exposure

Students with DSA or other regularly certified special educational needs can agree with the teacher on the written or oral modality, contacting the teachers at least 10 days before the exam. They can also enjoy 30% additional time.
