OVERVIEW

The seminar will focus on the relationship between technological innovation and the social context in which it is designed, developed and disseminated, with particular reference to IA and medical biotechnologies. Algorithms and vaccine platforms are not neutral: their "black box" embodies instructions that reflect the interests, values and goals of a part or the whole of society. The sociology of innovation aims to open these and other black boxes in order to understand and anticipate the social impact of technologies and, at the same time, the impact of society on tech
