The course aims to explore the complex world of national and international sports organizations, from their origins to the vaste current framework. In order to adequately deal with the evolution of what were mainly voluntary institutions founded in the 19th century into professional bodies and regulatory systems suitable for regulating the modern commercial world of sport today, the course is divided into a historical and a legal part.
1. Knowledge outcome: to know the system and the peculiarities of the international sport organization. 2. Competence outcome: to be able to identify the main historical and historiographical issues, and the use of the relative sources to investigate them. 3. Behavioral outcome: to be able to elaborate a critical reflection on the relationship between representatives and those who are represented in the international sport organizations.

The exam (in Italian) consists of a written test lasting one hour.
The written test focuses on the topics covered during the lectures and indicated in the “Syllabus/Content” section of this teaching sheet. The written test consists of three questions: to pass the exam, all answers must be sufficient. Each answer will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10. For sufficiency, all answers must reach the minimum score of 6/10. The final mark out of thirty is given by the sum of the partial marks of the three answers.
In case of certification of specific learning disability, disability or other special educational needs, the University legislation and regulations on disability and SLD are applied.
Evaluation of the written test: knowledge of the main themes of the discipline, historical facts and legal aspects are the main elements of evaluation. These are accompanied by the ability to summarize information and clarity in the exposition of contents. Requests for additional questions to increase the grade will not be accepted. The written test lasts an hour and a half.
Students with “Special Needs”: the compensatory/dispensative tools recognized by the Department coordinator, Prof. Aristide Canepa, and by the University Service for students with special needs are applied. It is suggested to contact by Prof. Canepa and the lecturers of this course at the beginning of the lectures.
