OVERVIEW

This workshop’s aim is to spread the operational knowledge of the platform scheduled by different eTwinning European schools through electronic linkages particularly in order of its teaching and educational potentialities.

The proposed activities will aim at testing and deepen the use of a European platform to support collaborative work of teachers and students.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • At the end of the laboratory students will:

    - know and frame eTwinning and its objectives within the European framework of Lifelong Learning Programs

    - know and use the eTwinning platform and its teaching potential

    - analyze eTwinning projects carried out in primary school and kindergarten

    - create twinning projects to be included in the platform, using the schemes provided by the platform itself

    - use ICT to present educational paths for kindergarten and primary school

 

TEACHING METHODS

The laboratory foresees the introduction and presentation of the themes by the teachers through videos and presentations, followed by exercises in small and individual groups, simulations and researches on the net and production by students of personal and group projects.

Discussions will be proposed on topics related to the use of technologies and a sharing platform, for guided web searches in order to explore the possibilities offered by the platform itself, practical exercises in a small group to present the university reality and share it with other students ( remotely) in a project activated for this purpose, simulation of didactic projects with the help of dedicated free programs that can be used concretely in the classes. 

Personal contributions from eTwinning ambassadors of both school orders are foreseen, for the presentation of the eTwinning experience and the sharing of materials in order to define the role of the eTwinner teacher and to insert students in the projects of the classes / sections of primary school and childhood.

In the first semester the lessons will take place with DAD (distance learning) methods.

 

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Presentation of the platform and the various possibilities it offers within three different levels: Homepage, live eTwinning, Twinspace. Analysis of the possibilities of professional training (in attendance and online) and the awards that can be obtained. 

Registration of students on the platform to share ideas and projects, in a Twinspace (twinning space)

eTwinning in kindergarten: projects and ways of working.

eTwinning in primary school: projects and ways of working.

Use of tools to present the projects and activities carried out in the classes in order to share them on the platform. (Powtoon, Kizoa, Movie make). Use of coding.

The role of the eTwinner teacher: observation, facilitation, mediation, active listening.

The risks associated with the use of the network in teaching and how to involve primary and pre-school pupils in eSafety.

LESSONS

LESSONS START

The lessons will take place in the 1st semester.

Three groups will be activated, one on Thursday afternoon, one on Friday afternoon and one on Saturday morning.

Group 1 will operate on Friday afternoon from the first week of October, as will Group 3 on Saturday morning.

Group 2 will carry out the activities in November / December to Thursday.

Times are not currently definitive.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

There is no exam, but compulsory laboratory attendance. Minimum hours required for eligibility is 13 hours.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

There is no examination, but exercises during the laboratory.
