TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB

OVERVIEW

There will be two courses of 32 hours each with a compulsory attendance of 80%. The second year laboratory is a continuation of the first year laboratory. The same material and teaching methods will be used. This course is part of a five-year course which aims to bring the students to a B2 level of English  and to provide them with the instruments necessary to be able to teach English at both nursery and primary level

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The second year laboratory picks up where the first laboratory left off. The lessons and exercises will consolidate all the principal language skills, building on vocabulary and aspects of grammar with particular emphasis however on oral production and authentic pronunciation. The goal is to arrive at a B1+ level at the end of the two years, thus providing a solid base from which to work towards the B2 level by the end of the five year course, which will in turn enable students to teach English competently in nursery and primary education

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The primary goal is to compete  the  B1 level  by  the end  of the second year as part of the 5 year course leading to B2 certification. However the course is also designed to provide students with the tools they need to be able to teach English with confidence and competence. The text used for the first year course will be finished during the second year laboratory as the students aim to reach the first threshold level of English

PREREQUISITES

Successful completion of the first year laboratory
