CODE 84519 ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025 CREDITS 1 cfu anno 4 SCIENZE DELLA FORMAZIONE PRIMARIA 9322 (LM-85 bis) - GENOVA LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 1° Semester MODULES Questo insegnamento è un modulo di: WORKSHOP OF DIDACTICS TECNOLOGY TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The main aim of the laboratory activities is to introduce students to and experiment with digital technologies that can be used in kindergarten and primary school to design, implement and evaluate learning activities even at a distance. Particularly, the laboratory aims to promote among students the ability to use, both independently and in collaboration, technological tools to design and create multimedia and interactive artifacts for learning purposes, knowing how to critically evaluate the results obtained and knowing how to draw conclusions from these evaluations. The laboratory will be characterized by a technical-practical approach. Students will be offered a guided use of technological tools considered, that will allow them to critically understand their use. Students will learn to communicate effectively to their colleagues the technological solutions they have identified to start creative and innovative paths in the school. At the same time, the laboratory will promote specific skills among students related to working in groups, activating problem solving strategies, and updating their technological knowledge in the perspective of a more effective teacher professional development. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES New media and digital technologies can be exploited to transform the way in which teachers design teaching and conduct lessons in the classroom, with the aim of making learning more effective. In particular, the increasing flexibility of online environments (sites, platforms, services, web applications, ...) and tools for the self-production of digital content (materials, mobile apps, games, simulations, ...) offers the possibility to propose complete digital teaching experiences, based on innovative teaching formats. In this laboratory, some of the main digital technologies that can be used in kindergarten and primary school will be explored to offer integrated teaching experiences, with particular attention to collaborative teaching. Learning outcomes The laboratory intends to present and use, both individually and in a collaborative way, some digital technologies that can be exploited in kindergarten and primary school to support the experimentation of integrated learning experiences. Particular attention will be paid to making known and using technological tools that allow to design and create (also in collaborative mode) multimedia and interactive content aimed at pre-primary and primary school children. Course objectives (detail) and learning outcomes Attendance and active participation in the learning activities proposed in the laboratory will allow the student to know and use the main technological tools that can be used to design and implement (both individually and with the collaboration of other colleagues): multimedia and interactive contents for the web for primary and kindergarten children; integrated collaborative learning activity (use of technologies). TEACHING METHODS The course will be organized to combine individual work with group work, thereby promoting a collaborative and personalized learning approach. The activities will take place in person, within the classroom, where students will have the opportunity to engage and interact directly with each other. To facilitate group work in the classroom, the Teams platform will also be used as a digital support for sharing materials. In this way, the course will provide a flexible and integrated environment where both individual and collaborative skills can be developed in a balanced manner.
