LESSONS

LESSONS START

Lessons start: first week of March 2025.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Mandatory written examination. Test consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer (1 point for each correct answer, 0 points for each wrong or no answer) and 1 open question. In the open question, the level of knowledge, the degree of thoroughness, and the ability to use appropriate vocabulary will be assessed. Oral test at the student's request will be established in order to improve the grade received in the written test.

Students with disabilities or DSA are reminded that in order to request adaptations in the exam, certification must first be entered on the University website at page servizionline.unige.it in the "Students" (“Studenti”) section. The documentation will be verified by the Settore servizi per l’inclusione degli studenti con disabilità e con DSA dell’Ateneo (https://rubrica.unige.it/strutture/struttura/100111).

Subsequently, significantly in advance of the examination date (at least 10 days), an e-mail must be sent to the teacher with whom the examination will be taken, including in the knowledge copy both the School Contact Teacher for the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities and DSA (laura.traverso@unige.it) and the above-mentioned Sector using one of the following addresses (disabili@unige.it; dsa@unige.it).

The e-mail should specify:

- the name of the teaching

- the date of the exam call

- the student's last name, first name and roll number

- the compensatory tools and dispensatory measures deemed functional and required.

The contact person (Prof. Laura Traverso) will confirm to the teacher that the applicant has the right to request adaptations in the exam and that these adaptations must be agreed with the Professor. The Professor will respond by informing whether the requested adaptations can be used.

Requests should be sent at least 10 days before the date of the exam in order to allow the teacher to evaluate the content. In particular, in the case of intending to make use of concept maps for the exam (which must be much concise), the student must adhere to the above timelines.

Please see the document for more information: Linee guida per la richiesta di servizi, di strumenti compensativi e/o di misure dispensative e di ausili specifici

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Mandatory written examination. The written format has been adopted in order to ensure that the knowledge acquired during the entire course is assessed in an objective manner. This modality is deemed to be able to correctly evaluate the achievement of both the general and specific training objectives. In the oral examination, the student's level of knowledge, quality of exposition and ability to use appropriate vocabulary will be assessed.
