The course aims to provide key concepts of drug design and synthesis, with particular reference to innovative methodologies.
Aim of this course is to give to the student basic principles concerning drug design and synthesis, with particular reference to innovative methodologies. The student is expected to be able to select and apply different drug design strategies and different synthetic strategies depending on the problem to be solved.
A good knowledge of organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry is required.
Slides and individual use of non commercial data-bases and specific visualization softwares.
Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.
A number of recommended papers available in literature will be suggested to students.
