Leisure motor activities provide the student with knowledge, skills, and methodologies through fitness , body expression, and sport dance to be professionally competent and effective in gyms, or clubs in educational, artistic, or sport settings.
In this integrated educational course, the technical and methodological knowledge relating to particular motor activities is explored in depth, aimed at achieving the well-being of the person in the recreational-motor field. Students must develop technical and methodological knowledge relating to physical activities that guarantee well-being for the person, globally defined as fitness: methodology, technique, equipment, use of machines, specific activity programming, age-related planning.
Training objectives of the integrated course:
- understand the importance of using basic expressive and creative techniques for motor development and
overall of the individual
- possess the cultural and methodological knowledge and tools necessary to plan, organize and
conduct programs of physical, sporting and leisure activities at an individual and group level with
particular attention to the expressive_communicative aspect
- provide the student with the knowledge to be professionally effective in a gym and/or club,
making reasoned choices in creating training methods and maintenance strategies
and improvement of the health and "good being" of the visitors.

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.
