OVERVIEW

The module aims to offer students a basic knowledge of the main topics addressed by Developmental Psychology, examining the development of the main psychological functions from a life cycle perspective. In particular, historical notes on the main theories will be presented and their evolution in the current studies of human development will be analyzed.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Of the three teaching modules of the I.I. of General Sport Psychology, that of Developmental and Educational Psychology must lay the foundations of this disciplinary field for the understanding of the psychological processes that characterize the life of the athlete, the competitive moments, the dynamics of growth and the dynamics of groups

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course you will know the main theories of developmental psychology and their limits; the main research methods for studying psychological development; the fundamental stages of cognitive, emotional, social, linguistic and moral development in the life cycle with particular attention to the analysis of the interaction between biological and environmental aspects.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures with slide projection.

Group discussions on some topics proposed in the program.
