The course is organized as a seminar series by experts from national and international companies, who will also introduce the various professional roles that biomedical engineers can have in a company. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES This course aims to provide professionalizing teaching, focused on ethics in professional and scientific practice, regulations on intellectual property rights and certification of medical devices, management of clinical trials. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES This professional development course covers interdisciplinary skills related to professional and scientific practice, in industrial, research or clinical environments. Learning outcomes Understanding of EU medical device regulations frameworks and the lifecycle of a medical device Knowledge of the IPR regulations and IPR management and protection strategies Design and management of experimentations involving human subjects Knowledge of techniques and tools for project management and the management of large software projects Understanding the career opportunities of biomedical engineering.
