CODE 66278 ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025 CREDITS 12 cfu anno 1 INGEGNERIA NAVALE 8738 (LM-34) - GENOVA TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: HYDRODYNAMICS STRUCTURAL MECHANICS TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The teaching, consisting of two modules, introduces students to the complementary disciplines of Solid Mechanics (first module) and Fluid Mechanics (second module) Solid and structural mechanics: The course deals with the fundamentals and advanced concepts of solid and structural mechanics together with the related solution tecniques for the design of structures. This module is proposed for the Master's Degree will present advanced topics compared to the homonymous at the previous level. Hydrodynamics: Hydrodynamics studies the motion of fluids and their interactions with the contours and with bodies. In this module, proposed for the Master's Degree, more advanced topics will be presented compared to the Hydrodynamics course at the previous level. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Provide the student with the knowledge and operational tools necessary to address the study of the mechanical behaviour of deformable solid and fluid bodies. PREREQUISITES No formal prerequisites are required; however, basic knowledge of mathematics (arithmetic, algebra, and calculus) and physics (mechanics) is necessary for effective learning. The two parts take place in separate sessions. It is possible to take the exam for the two modules in different academic years. The mark awarded in the course will be the average, rounded up to the next whole number, of the marks awarded in the two modules into which the course is divided.
