The "Other activities" include:

Soft Skills' module (max. 20 students)
Professionalisation courses' module
Possible internship (subject to approval by the CCS)

The student is free to choose which activity to attend.

Attendance is compulsory with 100% attendance

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The goal is to bring the student closer to the typical working environment of marine engineering through seminars, lectures or company internships.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

With regard to the 'Soft Skills' module, the training objective is the introduction to transversal skills as prerequisites for personal and professional development.
At the end of attending the module, students will be able to
- strengthen their communication skills
- strengthen their ability to work in a team
- define strategies for entering the world of work;
- reflect critically on their own positioning with regard to the topics covered in the module;
- manage their social interactions with a collaborative attitude.

 

TEACHING METHODS

"Soft Skills" Module:

- Lectures

- Individual and group practical exercises (e.g. think pare share, role playing).

 

On the job activities / Seminars

The contents covered within the "Soft Skills" Module are as follows:

- Skills and professional values required into the job

- Soft Skills as a resource for the job

- Skills useful for communication and relationship

- Working in group

- Job search tools

 

The Course contributes to the achievement of Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda
