CODE 94659 ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025 CREDITS 10 cfu anno 2 ENGINEERING FOR NATURAL RISK MANAGEMENT 10553 (LM-26) - SAVONA LANGUAGE English TEACHING LOCATION SAVONA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESSMENT OF CHEMICALS INTEGRATED RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course foresees a first module providing the students with the general knowledge to assess disaster risk with different approaches. The second module provides the students with the methodologies of human health risk assessment and ecological risk assessment of chemicals. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Module INTEGRATED RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT The aim of the module is to introduce the student to the concept of risk management and provide basic tools to draw risk maps starting from any hazard map. Module ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESSMENT OF CHEMICALS The aim of the module is to provide the student with basic principles and methods to characterize the nature and magnitude of health risks to humans and ecological risks to organisms and receptors due to chemical contaminants present in the environment, released during disasters or by Human and Industrial Activities.
