The Course is structured in two modules: The Management Course presents methodological and technological aspects for the control and management of electrical energy systems in light of the changes related to the electricity market and renewable energy resources. Dynamic models of production and transmission systems will be derived and problems related to: economic definition of the working point, continuity of service and control in normal conditions (frequency-power and voltage regulation), alert and emergency conditions will be addressed. The Protection course aims to present, with a systemic and interdisciplinary vision, the methodological and technological aspects for the protection of electrical energy systems, with particular attention to the new scenario of widespread and renewable generation, including microgrids, load control (demand response) and storage systems.
