OVERVIEW

This teaching presents the main aspects of an industrial plant. Starting from the genesis of the plant (choice of the installation site, plant layout and characteristics of the industrial buildings), we move on to describe the main mechanical systems for the internal transport of materials; finally, the characteristics and functioning of warehouses for material storage are described.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Provide the students of the basic technical and economical elements for the design and management of mechanical plants, utilizing different methodologies and techniques, qualitative and quantitative, turned to the correct representation, sizing and employ of processes, spaces and resources.
