In an increasingly anthropized planet, environmental impacts (including health) increase exponentially: urban nature and biodiversity are constantly changing due to climate change and globalization. The ecology of cities and the management of urban fauna and flora have acquired an important role and wille be the basis of local, European (Agenda 2030) and global planning. The main themes will be: - Urban gradients and indicators: Urban Heat Island, Urban Rainfall Effect, Climate and Carbon Neutrality, Ecological Footprint, Ecosystem Services, Natural Capital and Nature Based Solutions; - Biodiversity in the city: animal and plant species in urban areas (including invasive alien species), habitats, urban-rural gradient; - Architectural and sociological aspects: habitat restoration, urban planning (green walls and roofs, water squares, etc.), citizen science; - Urban ecology and work: European projects, fundraising, Ecological Transition, PNRR.
