All the hours are in Russian with attention to the tranlation abilities and the aymmetries with Italian and English.The theoretical lessons explain the grammatical rules, but also the way to obtain the best implicit acquisition by an organized everyday self-training, AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES After the first year, the students have abilities to manage morphology and to communicate at a simple A2 level. The course TTMI 2 is now dedicated to manage any sentence based on syntactic operation of middle and high level of complexity. All the basic connectors will be explained and trained. Particular attention is given to the asymmetric problems with Italian and/or English. Our suggestion is to attend all the hours you can, included the theoretical course (each theoretical lesson gives you very usefull instruction for organizing at home the self-training for syntactic implicit acquisition. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Improve abilities in understaning and speach, applying all features af Russian syntax PREREQUISITES Prerequisites for TTMI2: the main abilities in using basic morphology, elementary syntax, and the main range of the Russian prepositions with the corresponding case. TEACHING METHODS The course aims to trigger procedurality in the way students react to the input in Russian. All teachers speak Russian, but using short functional translation to make students confident with the corrispondence of each L2 context related unit with the well known correspondent L1 unit. The main effort of the team is to provide students with an effective instruction about the time, contents and methodology of self-training, which is a fundamental part of the course. Particularly, syntax will be shown as the main instrument in achieving procedurality and fluency in verbal communication SYLLABUS/CONTENT Russian syntax and connectors. ELIZAVETA IVANOVA DINA KOTELNIKOVA Exam Board LAURA SALMON (President) ANTONIO CIVARDI LESSONS LESSONS START The course starts on Sept 30 - 2024 The Modulo Teorico (only 2 semester) starts on Feb 2024 Class schedule RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND TRANSLATION II EXAMS EXAM DESCRIPTION Starting from June, once per session (June, Sept, Febr) the exam is organized as a written test of collected exercises in form of translations from/into Russian of sentences or short texts. The exercises are provided by all involved teachers and concern all parts of the course, so that no other official test is needed, although tests in progress can be offered by teachers as a control of students' self-training. The final evaluation is for 12 CFU and, if positive goes from 18 to 30 (if exellent, cum laude). Students with a low evaluation who want to repeat the test can do it if agreed with prof. Salmon FURTHER INFORMATION Students certified with SLD, disabilities or other special education needs are advised to contact the instructor at the beginning of the course, in order to agree on teaching and exam methods that, in compliance with the course learning outcomes, take into account individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory tools.
