CODE 68133 ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025 CREDITS 2 cfu anno 1 TECNICHE DI RADIOLOGIA MEDICA, PER IMMAGINI E RADIOT 9294 (L/SNT3) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR MED/04 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 2° Semester MODULES Questo insegnamento è un modulo di: GENERAL PATHOLOGY AND PHARMACOLOGY TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course of General Pathology examines the study of the causes of disease and the possible consequent pathological process AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Provide the students with the fundamental elements about the causes of diseases and about how they act on cells and tissues AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Provide the students with the necessary knowledge to comprehend the mechanisms by wich the pathological agents act on the human organisms and the main consequences of these actions, in particular, the general etiology, the call damage and death, the inflammation the repairing of the tissues and the biology of the cancer cell The students must acquire the ability to describe the various pathological processes, learn an adequate nomenclature, understand the meaning of the various pathological processes and their interactions. TEACHING METHODS Lectures, with any possible dialectic interactions with the students SYLLABUS/CONTENT General etiology, with particular attention to radiation; main cellular adaptations and damages; inflammation and repair. Class schedule The timetable for this course is available here: Portale EasyAcademy EXAMS EXAM DESCRIPTION Oral examination ASSESSMENT METHODS Each students will be examined about one or two chapter of the program, with questions apt to evaluate his/her knowledge and his/her ability to connect different subject of the program. The knowledge and the definitions of the basic elements must be known in order to consider the examination approved. . The students will be examined about their critical interpretation of the issues object of the examination. During the exam, the rules regarding the assessment method of DSA certified students or students with other educational needs indicated by the university will be respected. (e.g.: additional time in the case of written exams, use of concept maps to be viewed for approval by the teachers at least one week before the exam date).
