PREREQUISITES Basic knowledge in biology, histology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry. TEACHING METHODS Lectures, with any possible dialectic interactions with the students SYLLABUS/CONTENT General etiology, with particular attention to radiation; main cellular adaptations and damages; inflammation and repair. The student must answer correctly to at least 10 multiple choice questions and 1 exercise. No penalties for missing or mistaken answer. The Pharmacology test must be approved in order the student can access the oral examination on General Pathology and Nursery ASSESSMENT METHODS The assessment of the correct comprehension of the items of Pharmacology is examined by a series of written questions, modified for each exam session, formulated in different versions for students in close seats the the classroom and, as far as the quizzes are concerned, they contain five possible answers, only one of which is correct. The open questions require the students to do some simple mathematical calculations (proportions, fractions, etc) in order to answer to the questions. Copying and pure memory are discouraged, while the students are examined in their ability to apply their knowledge through reasoning and synthesis. After the Pharmacology test, only if it is approved, the students will be examined about at least two chapter of the program of general pathology and nursery. .
