EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The examination consists of the public presentation and discussion of the thesis before a Commission. The latter, appointed by the Coordinator of the Course of Study, is composed of at least five members (professors, researchers and scholars of the subject), and chaired, as a rule, by the Coordinator himself.

The President of the Commission ensures the smooth running of the test, guaranteeing in particular: the adequate use of any support tools; the availability of a congruous amount of time for the exposition and discussion of the paper; the collegiality of the evaluation; as well as the observance of appropriate behavior by all those present.

The presentation of the internship activity is approximately 15 minutes in length, made in front of the Graduate Committee. Each candidate is ensured adequate time to demonstrate his or her ability to succinctly and effectively present the work performed and to answer any questions posed by the Commission.

The marks assignable by the Commission to the examination are described in Article 10 of the Internship and Final Examination Regulations.

Additional information (dates of the final exam, specific requirements) can be found in the Other Information section.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The assessment of the final examination will focus on verifying the acquisition of the following skills:

  * being able to carry out independent work, applying the knowledge acquired in the course of study;
  * to be able to document and inform oneself correctly, searching for sources and retrieving material of a scientific nature consistent with the topic developed;
  * be able to describe the result of their work in a sufficiently concise manner, using the correct terms, citing sources and bibliography of reference;
  * be able to present orally to the committee the work done and to discuss effectively the questions posed by the committee members.

The final grade summarizes the student's entire career, taking into account the student's achievement of the educational objectives of the Degree Course.
