The module aims to develop awareness of the phenomena relating to the drafting of private legal documents in the Roman era between client needs, negotiation technicalities and the emergence of professionally dedicated figures.

The events relating to the appearance, in the Roman legal experience, of private editors of documents will be discussed. Subsequently, the transformations of such editors and the events of the progressive publicity of the relative functions will be taken into consideration.
