OVERVIEW

The program of the Physics class for Industrial and Management Engineering deals with classical physics. Mechanics is introduced in the first semester and electromagnetism in the second semester.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course provides the basic knowledge of the phenomenology and the mathematical formulation of classical mechanics and electromagnetism laws

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

We deem the student has achieved the learning objectives when he can solve problems of mechanics and electromagnetism by using the appropriate mathematical formalism.

PREREQUISITES

Basic knowledge of trigonometry and mathematical analysis.

TEACHING METHODS

Theory and exercise classes are held in classroom twice a week, five hours per week. Classes might be held online in case of weather alert.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Kinematics of the point body. Dynamics of the point body. Dynamics of point body systems. Dynamics of rigid bodies. Electrostatics. Electrical currents. Electrodynamics. Magnetostatics. Electromagnetic Induction.
