CODE 72349 ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026 CREDITS 12 cfu anno 2 INGEGNERIA MECCANICA 8784 (L-9) - LA SPEZIA LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION LA SPEZIA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: FOUNDATIONS OF ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING FOUNDATIONS OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course consists of two modules: the first one, that concerns the fundamentals of electrical engineering and circuit theory, is preparatory to the second one, devoted to the study of circuits using electronic devices, also providing application examples. The descritpions of the two separate modules are reported in the specific enclosed forms. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims at providing with methods and tools for studying both electrical circuits and electronic circuits by using proper techniques and descriptive models of electronic components. The details of these objectives are reported in the enclosed forms of the two modules. TEACHERS AND EXAM BOARD DANIELE MESTRINER Ricevimento: On appointment in presence or on Teams: daniele.mestriner@unige.it +393337973889 EXAMS EXAM DESCRIPTION The exam consists of two different parts, each one related to the specific module of the course. The exam related to the "Module of circuit theory" includes a written test followed by an oral test, while the "Module of Electronics" consists of a written test eventually followed by an oral test. The detailed descriptions of the two parts of the exam are reported in the specific enclosed forms. Students with SLD, with disabilities, or with other regularly certified special educational needs will agree with the teacher on the exam method and the compensatory instruments, by contacting the instructor at least 10 days before the exam. They will also be able to take advantage of the additional time required by law. ASSESSMENT METHODS For what concerns the "Module of Circuit Theory", the written tests address the solution of a DC circuit (first test during the module or first exercise of a test after the end of the of the module) and of an AC circuit (second test during the module or second exercise of a test after the end of the module). For the "Module of Electronics", the written test addresses the solution of three different exercises, related to circuits with diodes, transistors and operational amplifiers. In the written tests, the methodology, the correctness and the clarity of the calculus procedure is assessed. d In the oral tests, if necessary, the written exam is discussed, together with theoretical questions about topics included in the program. The clarity of the presentation, the capacity of critical analysis and the mastery of the topics will be properly considered for the evaluation.
