CODE 67415 ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026 CREDITS 4 cfu anno 4 MEDICINA E CHIRURGIA 8745 (LM-41) - GENOVA LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA PREREQUISITES Propedeuticità in uscita Questo insegnamento è propedeutico per gli insegnamenti: MEDICINE AND SURGERY 8745 (coorte 2022/2023) MEDICINE 67519 MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: GENERAL SURGERY GASTROENTEROLOGY TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The main objective is to teach students the epidemiological characterization, the pathophysiological bases and the clinical characteristics of the main diseases of the digestive system and liver. In particular, the most common diseases of the upper and lower digestive tract will be treated, as well as chronic diseases of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas. At the end of the course, the student must therefore have acquired the knowledge necessary to plan an adequate diagnostic process and prognostic evaluation of these diseases, as well as knowledge of the principles of their treatment. TEACHING METHODS Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
