A wide range of such activities is offered annually by tenured professors and adjunct faculty, in accordance with Article 6 of the Academic Regulations. Students may begin selecting ADEs starting from the first year, taking into account the relevance of the topic to the knowledge already acquired. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES To develop practical and technical skills through guided exercises, simulations, or hands-on activities, promoting experiential learning. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Students will be able to: Understand and discuss advanced concepts related to the topic. Critically analyze relevant scientific literature. Contextualize theoretical knowledge in clinical practice. - Practical Workshop Educational Objectives To develop practical and technical skills through guided exercises, simulations, or hands-on activities, promoting experiential learning. Expected Learning Outcomes Students will be able to: Apply techniques and procedures correctly and safely. Recognize and manage simulated clinical situations. Work in teams and communicate effectively in operational contexts. - Clinical Internship Educational Objectives To offer direct experience in clinical settings, allowing students to observe, participate in, and reflect on care and relational dynamics in medical practice. Expected Learning Outcomes Students will be able to: Observe and describe clinical-care processes. Interact respectfully and professionally with patients and healthcare professionals. Recognize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to care. - Research Activity Educational Objectives To introduce students to biomedical research methodology, promoting the ability to formulate hypotheses, collect data, and interpret results. Expected Learning Outcomes Students will be able to: Understand the fundamentals of biomedical research. Collaborate in designing and conducting a scientific study. Critically analyze data and results. PREREQUISITES Each individual elective educational activity (ADE) may include specific prerequisites, which will be indicated in the corresponding course description. TEACHING METHODS Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
