A wide range of such activities is offered annually by tenured professors and adjunct faculty, in accordance with Article 6 of the Academic Regulations.
Students may begin selecting ADEs starting from the first year, taking into account the relevance of the topic to the knowledge already acquired.

Educational Objectives To offer direct experience in clinical settings, allowing students to observe, participate in, and reflect on care and relational dynamics in medical practice.

Educational Objectives To introduce students to biomedical research methodology, promoting the ability to formulate hypotheses, collect data, and interpret results.
Each individual elective educational activity (ADE) may include specific prerequisites, which will be indicated in the corresponding course description.
Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
