CODE 110959 ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026 CREDITS 6 cfu anno 1 POLITICHE, GOVERNANCE E INFORMAZIONE DELLO SPORT 11944 (L-36 R) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR INF/01 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 2° Semester AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim of the course is to deepen the dynamics of online communication; moreover, the methods of use of the various new media will be identified, thus activating the capacity for a critical reflection on the current relationship between web communication and sporting events. At the end of the course, students will have acquired notions useful for identifying the characteristics of online communication, especially as regards the sports field; they will also be able to diversify the methods of use, languages and targets regarding social media, applications, websites. The course aims to develop the ability to analyze the transformations taking place in the world of communication, especially sports, in what is defined as the “digital revolution”. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Acquire a "vocabulary" capable of adequately describing the digital tools that can be used in the context of online communication Understand the main opportunities and critical issues in the use of social media for digital communication Explore the potential of modern digital tools, with insights that will include one or more of the following disciplines: digital content, artificial intelligence and data analysis.
