OVERVIEW

Please refer to what is written for the course of  Applied Physics.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This module develops specific training in heat transfer, analyzing the three main mechanisms: conduction, convection, and radiation. Applications to buildings and their systems are then considered. The principles of the thermodynamics of moist air are introduced, along with their applications to air conditioning systems and phenomena such as surface and interstitial condensation. An introduction to electrical systems completes the course.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Please refer to what is written for the course of  Applied Physics.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The modality to check the achievement of expected learning outcomes consists in the evaluation conducted during the exam, as well as in the sharing of the results of exercises performed during the course.

The written exam verifies the achievement of an adequate level of operational expertize such as to allow an effective practice in the field.

The theoretical comprehension of the subject is verified through oral questions regarding the different topics taught during the course.
