They allow computers to communicate with each other across the Internet and enable users to fruitfully collaborate and interact. In this framework, the ability to write our own network programs surely represents an opportunity that must not be underestimated. Although most modern operating systems provide off-the-shelf programs to exploit network functionalities, implementing an original application needs good knowledge on how to use the Application Program Interfaces (APIs). Multimedia Signal Processing for Autonomous Systems. Artificial systems in multiple diverse fields of applications are evolving from automated to autonomous. For an Internet and Multimedia Engineering graduate, having the right foundational knowledge for the design and implementation of autonomous systems will be critical for a professional career in innovative companies or in the research field.
