In order to deal with various emergencies, disasters and accidents happening in the world and with the strong need of constant monitoring, the use of rapidly deployable, reliable, and efficient, stable communication networks is developing more and more. Remote control and monitoring is based on fundamental parameters such as sense, communication, computing, and control. In this perspective, the knowledge of telecommunication networks is of great importance for the comprehension and design of future systems.
The module will provide students with: basic concepts on modern Network and Internet technologies; introduction to the architecture and protocols for wireless communication; basic concepts on Radio Cellular Networks , WiFi, Bluetooth and sensor networks technologies. Machine to Machine standards. Laboratory practical and simulative experiences will also be conducted.
At the end of the module a student will be able:

The exam consists of a written test consisting of 4 questions of identical value followed by an a brief oral comment on the writing test.
Students with learning disorders ("disturbi specifici di apprendimento", DSA) will be allowed to use specific modalities and supports that will be determined on a case-by-case basis in agreement with the delegate of the Engineering courses in the Committee for the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities.
