This course the practical basis of biomechanical analysis of motor/sport movement. It offers useful methodological and didactic ideas for a first orientation in the various fields of professional intervention allowing to make their specific skills.
The aim of the teaching includes, in light of theoretical knowledge, the application of biomechanical analysis methodologies through technical and practical activities.
The objective is to provide a technical and practical foundation for understanding the biomechanical aspects of motor and sports movements. The course integrates anatomo-functional knowledge with the biomechanical analysis of joint movement, both in simple and complex gestures. Key topics include: functional joint anatomy, movement biomechanics, complex motor synergies, kinetic chains, coordinative abilities and related models, strength, speed, and endurance.
Acquire basic skills in instrumentation and biomechanical analysis of the technical sports gesture. Understand the physiological and biomechanical processes underlying the different movements. Knowledge of the principles of movement, levers, origins, insertions and functions of the different muscle groups involved in the sporting gesture.
At the end of the course, you will have to:
The course includes laboratory and field activities.
Laboratory activities will be carried out in the laboratory.
During the laboratory activities, the concepts seen in the classroom will be taken up and practical applications on these topics will be addressed.
At the end of each lecture, Teaching Innovation tools will be used to facilitate the consolidation of the information given during the lecture just given.

The lessons will take place in the 2nd semester
The class schedule will be available at the following link: https://easyacademy.unige.it › portalestudenti
The timetable for this course is available here: EasyAcademy
The exam will be Oral and will focus on the presentation of a project from which a question will be developed.
This teaching is part of the integrated course of " Aspetti biologici e biomeccanici della prestazione sportiva 2". For this reason, the exam for this teaching module must be taken together with the other 2 courses on the same session date.
The exam will be considered passed with a score of 18/30.
The exam of the integrated course will be considered passed if all three tests have achieved a score of at least 18/30.
The final grade of the integrated course will derive from the weighted average of the three individual grades.
In case of certification of specific learning disability, disability or other special educational needs, the University legislation and regulations on disability and SLD are applied (https://unige.it/disabilita-dsa/studenti-disabilit%C3% A0-normative).
See also the "Other information" section of this syllabus.
The oral exam will verify the acquisition of the basic knowledge of the teaching. The questions will allow to evaluate the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practical fields.
In case of certification of specific learning disability, disability or other special educational needs, please contact both the Department contact person, Prof. Nicola Girtler, and the lecturer at the beginning of the lectures to agree on teaching and exam methods which, in compliance of the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory/dispensatory tools recognized by the University SLD Student Service.
