OVERVIEW

The course is aimed at providing the advanced competence of Telecommunications and Electromagnetic Compatibility. The course is subdivided into two modules:

1 – Telecommunications – 118118

2 – Electromagnetic Compatibility - 118119

The overview is given in full detail within the page of the two composing modules.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This teaching unit aims to learn the fundamental methods of the analysis of rapidly changing electromagnetic fields with a differential approach, and then move on to the acquisition of issues related to industrial electromagnetic compatibility with reference to the design and problems related to measurement methods.

PREREQUISITES

In order to follow the electromagnetic compatibility module, it is necessary to have a solid  knowledge of the fundamental physical-mathematical tools. This includes understanding Maxwell's equations, knowledge of electrical circuit theory, and measurement techniques.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Telcommunications (118118): The exam consists of a written test consisting of 4 questions (2 for the signal processing part, 2 for the telecommunications network part) of identical value followed by an oral exam (for the signal processing part) or by a brief oral comment on the writing test (for the telecommunications networks part).

Electromagnetic compatibility (118119) : Oral exam lasting a total of about 45 minutes.

For further details, see the page of the two modules.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Assessment methods are explained in full detail within the pages of the two composing modules.
