AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will acquire knowledge about urban regeneration theories, methods for analyzing the historic city (including its relationship to the "modern urbanism and architecture"), and methods and tools for implementing conservation actions and policies. To achieve these objectives, the course is organized as a historical-interpretative reading of the urban planning thinking that has developed around the themes of protecting historical and landscape heritage. It will therefore frame models, theories, and tools within their historical-cultural origins and evaluate their effects through the illustration of case studies.
