CODE 121079 ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 CREDITS 9 cfu anno 1 COMPUTER ENGINEERING 12133 (L-8 R) - IMPERIA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR IINF-05/A LANGUAGE English TEACHING LOCATION IMPERIA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE DIGITAL SYSTEMS DESIGN AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The teaching unit aims to provide students with an integrated understanding of the concepts, methodologies, and tools required for both the analysis and design of digital systems and the study of modern computer architecture. In particular, the course covers the principles of combinational and sequential logic, finite state machines, and the techniques for designing and simulating simple digital systems. It then extends to the understanding of the characteristics, functions, and interactions of the main hardware components of a computer, examining its overall architecture and the operation of its fundamental units. TEACHING METHODS Students who hold valid certificates relating to Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), disabilities or other educational needs are invited to contact the lecturer and the school’s disability liaison officer at the start of the course to agree on any teaching arrangements which, whilst respecting the course objectives, take into account individual learning styles.
